Schematic Design Based upon the completed Feasibility Study, the District and its team, in collaboration with the MSBA, develop a robust schematic design of sufficient detail to establish the scope, budget and schedule for the Proposed Project. The project team will create a set of Schematic Design drawings and specifications to help create the final & total project budget.

Preliminary Design Program Alternatives Please see below to view the proposed alternatives for the PDP. These consist of base building repairs, additions/renovations, & new construction options. These also span across both the current Essex Elementary School site and the Manchester Memorial Elementary School site along with covering multiple grade configurations

Feasibility Study The purpose of the Feasibility Study is for the District, its OPM (for projects with estimated construction costs in excess of $1.5 million), its Designer, and the MSBA to explore potential solutions that meet the requirements of the District’s Educational Program, and to determine the most cost effective and educationally appropriate solution for the MSBA Board of Directors' consideration. The Feasibility Study consists of the Preliminary Design Program (PDP) & The Preferred Schematic Report (PSR). Preliminary Design Program Key Goals Identify the issues/articulate the educational plan List options to be studied in PSR Generate an initial space summary Document existing conditions Establish design parameters View PDP Alternatives Preferred Schematic Report Key Goals Develop and evaluate alternatives.
